The First Annual Kontiolahti Bluegrass Festival is weeks away! (24.8)

In just over a month, Field Studies will bring a new tradition in Eastern Finland - the first annual Kontiolahti Bluegrass Festival! Here are the details:

  • Date/Time: 24.8.2024 - 5 - 8pm

  • Cost: Free

  • Location: Koivula Farm @ Oikopolku 12 Kontiolahti

  • Line-Up:

  • Jake & Rambling Blade - Our first headlining act will be Finland’s own Jake & Rambling Blade, a Finnish band inspired by country, bluegrass, and Americana roots music. Here’s a video clip and their first album is coming this fall so we’re so excited for them to join us!

  • Jenkki ja Tunkki - Joensuu’s own Jenkki ja Tunkki will also be joining the fun.

  • Open Bluegrass Jam - We’ll also be hosting a bluegrass jam so please bring your instruments.
